Printing
Papiruno can't find my printer.
Papiruno prints with AirPrint, the printing built into your iPhone. Check that the printer is switched on, connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone, and supports AirPrint — most wireless printers made in the last decade do, and the box or manual will say.
Also check that Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Papiruno is on: iOS needs it to find printers. If no app can see the printer, restarting the printer and your Wi-Fi router usually helps.
My printer doesn't support AirPrint.
Papiruno can print only to AirPrint printers — no iPhone app can print to other printers without the manufacturer's own software. You can still scan with Papiruno and share the PDF to your printer maker's app.
My ID card copy prints at the wrong size.
Print at 100% (actual size), not “fit to page” — scaling is what changes the size. If your printer's options in the print sheet include scaling, turn it off.
Scanning and search
Which languages can Papiruno search?
Text recognition runs on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework. It reads these languages:

Scans in other languages — Greek or Hebrew, for example — are still saved, printed and shared, just not searchable. The exact list for your iPhone and iOS version is in Papiruno under Settings › Languages it can read.
Where are my documents kept? Are they backed up?
On your iPhone, inside Papiruno. They're included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup if you use one. Papiruno has no cloud of its own and doesn't sync between devices.
Documents and purchase
How are documents counted?
Your first 20 new documents are free. Each new thing you bring in uses one, however many pages it has: a scan when you keep it or first send it out, a file or photo you import, something saved from the Share button, or a one-off print from the Print tab.
Printing, sharing, editing or searching anything already in your library is never counted. The number left is shown on the Scan tab.
What happens after my free documents?
Papiruno stops taking in new documents until you remove the limit with one payment. Nothing else changes: everything already in your library keeps printing, sharing, editing and searching, free, forever.
Is it a subscription?
No. Removing the limit is a single payment, and it covers every device signed in to the same Apple Account. Papiruno has no subscriptions.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Open Papiruno, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to the Apple Account you bought with.
How do I ask for a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy and security
How do I lock Papiruno?
In Papiruno, open Settings and turn on Lock with Face ID (or Touch ID, or passcode, depending on your iPhone). Papiruno then asks you to unlock it every time you come back.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a document from the Library, or delete the app to remove everything it holds. Papiruno keeps nothing anywhere else, so there's nothing for us to delete.
