The short version
Papiruno collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Nothing is uploaded to us — your documents go only where you send them: your printer, or an app you choose.
Who we are

What we collect
Nothing. There is no data collection of any kind — not anonymised, not aggregated, not “to improve the service”. The app has no way to send your information anywhere, because it has no backend to send it to.
Where your documents live
Scans and imported documents are stored on your device, inside the app's own storage. Text recognition runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Nothing is uploaded for processing.
Your documents are included in your iPhone's backups (iCloud Backup or a local encrypted backup) if you have backups turned on, in the same way as any other app's files. That is handled by iOS, not by us.
Network activity
Papiruno has no server to talk to, and nothing about you or your documents is ever uploaded to us. The app reaches the network in two places, each only when you ask it to:
- AirPrint finds printers on your local Wi-Fi network and sends print jobs to the printer you pick. This is handled by iOS.
- The App Store processes the optional one-time purchase and restores it on your other devices. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.
Papiruno never loads web pages.
Permissions
- Camera — to scan documents. The images go into your PDF and nowhere else.
- Photos — to save pages to your photo library, only when you choose to. Picking a photo to print or scan needs no permission.
- Local Network — required by iOS for AirPrint to find your printer.
- Face ID — only if you turn on the app lock, to unlock Papiruno. Face ID is handled by iOS; Papiruno never receives your face data.
Each is requested only when you first use the feature that needs it, and the app works without the ones you decline (minus that feature).
Third parties
There are none in the app. No analytics SDK, no advertising framework, no crash reporting service, no remote configuration.
If you email us
When you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, and use them only to answer you. We don't add you to any list, and we delete the conversation when it's no longer needed.
This website
papiruno.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. It is hosted by Netlify, which — like any web host — processes technical information such as your IP address in its server logs to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We don't use that information to identify you. The site picks a language from the language your browser asks for, and stores nothing.
Your rights
Because the app collects nothing, we hold no personal data about you from it. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, or want to know what we hold, write to support_papiruno@vazegroup.com. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Papiruno is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here and the date above will change.
